Aerial system

Aerodyne variable-wing hexacopter.

Six rotors sit above the fuselage; two variable wings attach below. The aircraft supports vertical operations and wing-borne flight, with autonomous onboard navigation.

The aircraft

Six rotors sit on a dedicated upper frame. Two variable-geometry wings pivot from the lower fuselage for forward flight and drone operations.

Flight modes

Only the wing surfaces rotate at their roots; the six-rotor frame stays with the fuselage. Aerodyne describes the rotors facing roughly 40° forward in forward flight.

Imaging payload

The underside carries payload mounts and wing mechanisms that support the aircraft’s sensing mission.
